We Lead With Purpose & Curiosity

Rubini Naidu (she/her) brings a decade of experience as a creative impact strategist and documentary photographer. Through her consultancy and community practice, Empact, Rubini offers comprehensive brand, product, and business strategy and storytelling for purpose driven organizations. Rubini works with nonprofits, cultural institutions, startups, and enterprises to create meaningful brands, narratives, and initiatives. Rubini works closely with clients to define goals, uncover opportunities, and assemble tailored teams of designers and strategists that drive lasting impact.

Rubini’s practice as a documentary photographer and photojournalist deepens her ability to empathize with communities and social issues. She has worked with publications and organizations such as The New York Times, Washington Post, ACLU, Everytown for Gun Safety, and others.

Rubini's background in nonprofits and international development, including roles at the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute and as a Fulbright Scholar in India, informs her work. She holds an M.A. in Sociocultural Anthropology from Columbia University, a B.S. in Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University, and a certificate in Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice in Design from Parsons. Rubini has received recognition for her practices such as a Michigan Central Arts & Technology Creative in Residence, Aerie Changemaker, and Vital Voices x Tresemme Leadership Fellow.

Visual Storytelling
